We went into the game with 6 players, only one defence player and borrowed a fellow Briar from another team to make up a full squad. All the girls played exceptionally well and 2 of our regular shooters filled the gap of our missing defence to help pull of a great win. Players player - Alana Ross

2nd Grade Chardies drew with Greenlees Monaros  18 - 18
Coming into the game with only 6 players for the first quarter, we managed to stay competitive against the Monaros.  The low scoring first quarter of 2-1 proved that both sides of shooting were off their game. The game ultimately remained net for net leading to the overall draw. Players Player - Elissa McPhee

3rd Grade Merlots lost to Greenlees Berlinas 70 - 18
Several players down due to the long weekend, 5 members of the Briars Merlots nonetheless put in a valiant effort in their first game of the season! Despite losing 18-70, the Merlots maintained an excellent team spirit throughout the game and are looking forward to playing with a full team next week! Players player – Melanie Fava
