Briars Hockey Club have been members of the Sydney Hockey Association for many years, The Briars has proven to be a consistently dominant force. Under the watchful eye of Club and NSW AHL Coach, Ivan Boulton and 1st grade coach (Atlanta Bronze medalist) Stuart Carruthers.

Playing hockey with The Briars provides the opportunity to learn and enjoy a fast and skilful sport.  With three Men's Premier Division teams and several teams competing at all levels in the winter and summer competitions, The Briars cater for players of any ability. Junior, senior, experienced or beginner, new members are always welcome.

We have a strong contingent of Women's teams that play in a variety of competitions. Teams that cater for all levels of play from grass competitions to the highly fancied Sydney Women's Metro Competition. 

The Briars home ground is at Cintra Park, completed in the year 2000 by a collaboration of The Briars Foundation and Concord Municipal Council, boasts facilities of an international standard. A training venue for teams of the Year 2000 Olympic Games this wonderful new complex may be the homeground of many future Olympians.

All home games are held at Cintra Park Hockey Complex Queens Rd Concord, with carpark entry in Loftus St.  Cintra is also available to hire.

HOCKEY REGISTRATION 2010

Briars Hockey Registration Day for 2010 will be on Sunday 31 January.  Come along to Briars at Greenlees anytime between 2pm and 5pm to register, pay a fee deposit, buy new uniform items if needed and enjoy a drink while catching up with old team mates and meeting new players.
