Briars have formed strong links with one of the biggest junior clubs Ashfield Catholic Club Cricket Club (ACC) which participates in the Canterbury/Western Suburbs Junior Cricket Association in Sydney. There are a number of players playing throughout our grades who started off their junior cricket with ACC. Our under 24's side has been the starting point for many of these juniors with a number of players working their way up the grades to play first grade for our club.
Briars each season sends one or two coaches to ACC training to train and help in the development of the juniors with all sides that have been coached by Briars coaches making the Semi Finals. Last season's ACC Under 14's side made the semi finals after finishing well down the ladder the previous season and this shows the coaching is making a difference in developing these junior cricketers.
